Fiction, Poetry, and Thoughts!

What do I do?

I try to do two things with my writing: attempt to understand how life works; attempt to get better at relationships. I hope the effect benefits the readers as well!

A finely crafted leather-bound journal lies open on an antique wooden writing desk, its creamy blank pages catching subtle textures in the grain. A dark metal fountain pen rests diagonally across the center, a tiny glint on its nib. Around it, scattered sheets with faint, unreadable markings suggest drafts of fiction and poetry without showing any clear text. Soft, directional light pours in from an unseen window to the left, creating long, gentle shadows and a quiet chiaroscuro effect. The background fades into a blurred bookcase of hardbound volumes. Photographic black-and-white realism, eye-level composition, shallow depth of field, and a restrained, contemplative mood that evokes a sophisticated literary blog.

How do I write?

I try to write in a simple language that is easy to follow, so that it doesn’t distract the reader from what is being discussed.

Also, I’m a theorist and I don’t hesitate to explore ideas not backed up by strong evidence. I would never claim them to be facts or proven research though!

My tone and themes are a mixed bag.

Influences

My literary inspirations are quite limited. I have read a few books of Sidney Sheldon, Agatha Christie, James Hadley Chase, Enid Blyton, besides the obvious titles like Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes. My strongest influences come from Tamil historical fiction.

In short, I’m not an avid reader, and that perhaps helps me keep my tone original!

A tall stack of classic hardback books with weathered cloth covers rises from a dark wooden floor, each spine subtly textured but with titles indistinct, emphasizing form over text. A single dry pressed leaf is tucked between two volumes, slightly protruding. Behind, an old-fashioned typewriter sits out of focus on a small table, its metal body catching silver highlights. Diffused side lighting creates soft, elongated shadows and a gentle gradient of grays, enhancing the black-and-white palette. Shot from a low, slightly upward angle to give the stack a monumental, almost cathedral-like presence. Photographic realism with a calm, reverent mood, conveying the gravity and depth of serialized fiction and thoughtful essays.
